BH Cosmetics 120 Color Eyeshadow Palette 3rd Edition

Hey, all! Usually, I only talk product reviews on Monday, but I wouldn’t classify this as a product review. Why? To, me a product review is discussing the pros and cons of a product. Today, I’m just going to tell you why you need this palette in your life! I rarely say the word “need” in anything I talk about, but I’m telling you that you NEED this palette and here’s why…

First off, this palette costs $15. Yes, $15 for 120 shades. Second, the variety is amazing! You literally have hues of every color on the rainbow. You got purples, blues, yellows, pinks, reds, oranges, browns, greens, etc. You also have some cool tones and warm tones. Not only are the shade ranges amazing, this palette has a variety of finishes. Some eyeshadows are matte, others shimmer, and others metallic. Most importantly, every eyeshadow in here is super pigmented.

This palette is just godly. I literally think it’s the only huge palette I’ll ever need. Let me just say that I’m not a huge eyeshadow type of girl. I put eyeshadow on when I’m really trying to go all glam or on a special occasion. Usually, it’s just mascara and eyeliner for me. This palette makes me want to use eyeshadow every day. Coming from me, that’s saying something. To me, this palette just fits any mood that I can possibly have. I’m not saying I’ll never buy another eyeshadow palette ever again in my lifetime. However, what I am saying is that eyeshadow has made me the most content out of all my other palettes. The one and only issue I have with this is that the packaging gets easily dirty and no matter how much I scrub it, it’s gonna have white prints on it!

If you’re not big on eyeshadow, I would recommend this to you. It’s super affordable – especially for the quality and quantity. Most of all it’s versatile. You can use it day or night. You have tons of options with this palette and you can do tons of different looks. Literally, the options are endless! So, go on bhcosmetics.com and check it out. You won’t be disappointed :D.

Carli Bybel Palette: Swatches & Review

Hey, loves! As I’m sure all of you know that Carli Bybel partnered with BH Cosmetics to create her own palette. It was launched September 8th at around 2:45 am EST time. It was literally insane! People were in a riot on social media complaining that they couldn’t buy the palette. The first 2 batches were sold out in less than a day! I, however, wasn’t one of those unfortunate people. I was in and out of BH Cosmetics’ website like an assassin 😉 My palette finally arrived on Tuesday and I would love to share with you the godly goodness!

Here is what it looks like on the inside. It has 10 gorgeous eyeshadow shades and 4 godly looking highlighter shades. BH Cosmetics has great quality palettes so getting swatches are super easy. The eyeshadows and highlighters are super pigmented and creamy! Enough of my ranting and raving, I know you’re dying to see the swatches so let’s go…

(first row of shadows)

The first row has mostly matte shades. The only shimmer one is the second from the left as you can see. You got a pearl, matte white, a sparkly, pearl, a muted pink with plum undertones, a muted lavender, and a dark plum.

(second row of shadows)

The next row of shadows are more metallic and as we all know metallics are in this season :D! We got a pearly, metallic color with slight peach gold undertones, a metallic, champagne color, a shimmery, deep bronze, a metallic copper, and a matte grayish brown color.

Now, moving on to the gorgeous highlighters that everyone has been talking about! These highlighter colors are similar to the eyeshadows in the palette. We got a pink champagne, a champagne color with beige undertones, a straight up gold, and a copper bronze.

Needless to say, these colors are gorgeous and the palette is perfect for fall! The best thing about it is that it’s only $12.50! Yes, all this goodness for $12.50! So make sure to get on the order list, because as you can see this palette is hella popular!

Thanks, Carli ❤

The Stash: MAC Lipsticks & Lip Pencils

Hello loves! I think it is time that I’ve told you guys that I AM A LIPSTICK JUNKIE. I have about 66 lipsticks and that includes liquid lipsticks, chubby lip pencils, lip crayons, etc. The only thing excluded are lip liners and lip glosses which I only have about 12 of those combined. So, I decided to do another “Stash” series and share with you my MAC lip collection! Let’s just jump right in, shall we?

Keep in mind that this is how the shades look on MY skintone. I’m NC 44 in MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid. So, if you’re in that area of skintone then these swatches are pretty close to how the lipstick shades will look on you. If you’re far from my skintone, don’t be dependent on these swatches.

From Left to Right:

Yash (deep neutral) This is newbie that I added and it was recommended to me as a nude lip for my skintone. First time I put this on, I looked like a corpse but once I lined my lips with MAC Spice, it looked so much better!

Mehr (dirty blue pink) This is probably one of my favorite pink shades of lipstick out of my entire lipstick collection.

Verve (muted brownish plum) – I’m pretty disappointed that the camera didn’t pick up the true shade of this lipstick like the others! It actually looks the same as Paramount but it isn’t. Since I’m so committed to showing you guys accurate swatches, here’s a better one.

Stone (muted greyish taupe brown) My best friend and I both agree that we have a love/hate relationship with this shade. I think I could slay it if I did a fierce, cool toned makeup look. You definitely can’t get too crazy with color with this lipstick on.

Paramount (reddish brown) This shade will most likely be my go-to this Fall. It’s absolutely gorgeous! For a better swatch, check out the link in the Verve description.

Rebel (midtonal cream plum) Of course I would have to own one of the most well known lipstick shades at MAC. If you pair it with Nightmoth lip pencil, it looks stunning!

Pre-Raphaelite (dirty berry) – This shade is no longer sold but it’s a nice color with a metallic finish. I admit I don’t pick it up often since I’m not much of a “metallic finish” girl but when I do, I enjoy it.

Diva (intense reddish burgundy) – This was the first MAC lipstick I ever purchased and it will always be my top red lipstick, especially for the Fall.

Sin (deep dark blue red) – This shade is very vampy and very matte! To make it even more vampy, pair it with Nightmoth lip pencil.

Endless Drama (deep berry red) – This shade is discontinued and was a part of the Prolongwear Lipcreme collection. It has a very soft frosted finish and it’s SUPER creamy.

Moving on to lip liners…

Top to Bottom:

Chicory (soft muted peachy-brown) – Girl, this shade was my holy grail. I would wear it alone practically all the time. It’s the shortest of my lip pencils because I was literally constantly using it. The shade looks gorg on my skintone!

Spice (pink cinnamon stick) – I’ve worn spice alone a few times but when you pair it with nude lipsticks, It works phenomenally.

Plum (potent reddened plum) – My goal was to wear this alone but I HATE the way it looks on my lips alone. So, I use it with lighter toned pinks. If you’re a fan of light, purple toned lipsticks, I would recommend using this liner.

Nightmoth (blackened plum) – This lip pencil is my go-to to make any lip color more dark! It goes perfect with Sin and Rebel.

Well, there you have it! I hope this helped you gain some insight on what shades you might like to buy next 🙂

Spring 2014 Trends

The runway has spoken. Spring 2014 trends are out & now it’s time to get a head start on your Spring shopping ladies! Let’s see what some of the most wearable trends are for this Spring season.

Crop Tops

Honestly, I was never very interested in crop tops until this year. I never really felt like I could pull it off but now I find them to be pretty cute on me. Crop tops have been around for a while and I’m sure a lot of people are like “Ugh, crop tops? Again?” but bare-midriffs are here to stay ladies.

Wide-Leg Trousers

Okay, I am ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED to try this trend! I know for a fact I’ll be able to pull this off. It’s at the top of my list for my Spring shopping spree. Wide-leg trousers + crop top+ bomber jacket = give me life. I can’t wait to get my hands on a few pairs of these!

Tea-Length Skirts

I’m not too thrilled about this trend but I MIGHT try it. I’m not much of a skirt person. If I do wear skirts, they’re either pencil or maxi skirts. I’m not a fan of skirts that flare on the bottom because I feel like they make me look old. However, don’t let my opinion DISCOURAGE YOU! If you like this trend, go for it.

Sheer

This is another trend that I’m a tad hesitant about but I’d definitely try this out before the tea-length skirts. I have a feeling I might be able to pull this off but I know that sheer isn’t for everyone. I’ve seen a few people try it but I’m just like “Girl, no.” Hopefully, I’ll like it on myself 🙂

Slouch

As oppose to body con, figure hugging outfits, the slouchy look is the relaxed and comfortable. It gives the casual vibe. I’m definitely trying this trend out. I’ll probably buy a few slouchy tops and some pajama-like pants.

Fringe

It’s the 20’s with a twist and I’m bold enough to give it a try. I’m obsessed with the fashion from the 20’s so I’m definitely going to go out and invest in some fringe fashion.

Metallic

Bring on the high shine with metallic and iridescent this season! I feel like this year the runway was bolder with their metallic fashion.  I’m actually growing fond of this trend. I’ll probably buy a metallic dress in the near future 🙂

Floral

This isn’t surprising. Florals are always going to be a trend in the Spring. However, designers have unique ways of portraying the trend in their clothes.  The picture above is Michael Kors and he’s one of my favorites when it comes to the floral trend. I think anyone can pull off floral with the right makeup and accessories.
